Our constructive dismissal lawyers work with clients to ensure they receive fair treatment under employment law.
For businesses, we advise employers on how to lawfully dismiss employees, defend against wrongful dismissal and unfair dismissal claims, and ensure compliance with UK employment law. Our unfair dismissal solicitors provide strategic legal support to reduce the risks associated with dismissal disputes.
Whether you are an employee or an employer, our specialist unfair dismissal solicitors can help you understand your legal position and take appropriate action.
How our unfair dismissal solicitors can help
Key services offered
Legal Support for Individuals
Our team of employment specialists can help with all relevant issues, including:
- drafting a claim
- notice entitlements
- negotiating with employers
- dismissals for disciplinary reasons
- dismissals for performance issues
- bullying
If you think you have been wrongfully or unfairly dismissed, we encourage you to get in touch with us as soon as possible. Seeking legal advice early allows you to present your case in the most effective way, reducing the risk of inconsistencies that could weaken your claim.
We represent employees from a wide variety of backgrounds, including senior executives, professionals, and those in banking and finance, education, sport, and public services. Many of the claims we handle are funded by legal expense insurance, and we can assist you in checking coverage and dealing with insurers.
We understand that bringing a claim can be a difficult and stressful process, so we provide ongoing support throughout your case.
Legal Support for Businesses
We advise a wide range of employers (London-based, national, and multi-national) when they are faced with claims for:
- wrongful dismissal
- unfair dismissal (including constructive dismissal)
Experience has shown us that employers benefit from seeking legal advice as soon as a claim arises. Early guidance allows businesses to assess the claim properly, file a strong defence, and avoid inconsistencies that may count against them.
We assess the strength of a claim as soon as possible. If a business has a strong defence, we use it to its full potential to ensure the best possible outcome. We understand that defending a claim is sometimes a matter of principle, but we also recognise that businesses often prefer swift and commercial resolutions to disputes.
We take a realistic approach and identify any weaknesses in a business’s position early. This ensures employers can deal with claims effectively and take an informed view on negotiations or settlements.
Employers should also consider insuring against the risk of dismissal claims if they do not already have coverage. Our Employment Risk Solutions product allows businesses to do so on an annual premium basis.
